청년 세대 심리적 안녕감의 현주소- 정신건강, 문화다양성, 주관적 계층 인식에 따른 영향을 중심으로

청년 세대의 행복 수준이 낮아지고 정신건강 위험도가 증가함에 따라 청년들의 행복 현황을 파악하고 그에 따른 적절한 개입의 필요성이 지속적으로 강조되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 청년 세대의 정신건강과 심리적 안녕감과의 관계에서 문화다양성과 주관적 계층 인식의 매개효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 국회미래연구원의 ?2023년 한국인의 행복조사(3차조사)?의 정신건강(우울), 심리적 안녕감, 문화다양성, 주관적 계층 인식에 대한 문항을 활용하였고, 총 조사자 16,305명 중 청년 세대 3,702명의 자료를 확인적 요인분석(CFA)과 다중매개모형을 통해 검증하였다. 연구 결과, ?2023년 한국인의 행복조사(3차조사)? 문항을 토대로 재구성한 심리적 안녕감의 문항은 통계적으로 유의하며 타당함을 확인하였다. 재구성된 문항을 토대로 분석한 결과, 청년 세대의 우울과 심리적 안녕감의 관계에서 주관적 계층 인식의 매개효과는 통계적으로 유의한 반면, 문화다양성은 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 본 연구는 청년 세대의 심리적 안녕감에 영향을 미치는 다양한 요소를 확인하고 이를 분석하여 청년 세대를 위한 정책 방향을 설정하고 이를 활용한 독서치료 프로그램 개발에 필요한 기초자료를 제공한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

As individual happiness levels decline and mental health risks among the youth generation rise, there is a growing need to understand the current state of youth happiness and implement appropriate interventions. This study examines the mediating effects of cultural diversity and subjective class perception on the relationship between mental health and psychological well-being in young people. To achieve this, we utilized items related to mental health (depression), psychological well-being, cultural diversity, and subjective class perception from the National Assembly Futures Institute’s ‘2023 Koreans Happiness Survey (3rd Wave)’. We analyzed responses from 3,702 young individuals out of a total of 16,305 participants. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and a multiple mediation model were employed to assess these relationships. The findings confirmed that the restructured psychological well-being, based on the ‘2023 Koreans Happiness Survey (3rd Wave)’ was statistically significant and valid. The analysis revealed that subjective class perception significantly mediated the relationship between depression and psychological well-being in young people, whereas cultural diversity did not. This study contributes to understanding the factors influencing youth psychological well-being, guiding policy directions for this generation, and providing foundational data for designing a bibliotherapy program based on these insights.
